The Age has put the iMelway app to the test with tech expert Adam Turner critiquing the smartphone version iMelway app for Apple iPhone or iPod Touch. iMelway is compatible with iOS 6 and iOS 5.
Turner labels the iMelway ‘ad-free and ‘more polished’ than other mapping apps on the market.
He relishes the memory of the iconic Melway street directory.
“But if like me you remember a time when the paper street directory was the be-all and end-all of in-car navigation, you might find it useful to have iMelway on your phone instead of (or as well as) a paper copy on the back seat,” Turner shares.
